Talking of treks (Rust2Rome) a good friend of the families has just recently set off on a trip to cycle across America, and as Andy points out not on a Harley Davidson’s!

On Wednesday next, 30th May, I am going from Manchester Airport to San Francisco where I will try and conquer the jet lag etc. before setting out on Sunday 3rd June (with x number of others) to cycle across the USA (and that’s pedal cycle / bike NOT Harley Davidson) ending up on 24th July (same year, hopefully) at Portsmouth, New Hampshire, before flying back home and arriving on 26th.

Andy’s motto’s for the cycle…

I have two mottos for the ride:-

“A bad day on a bike always beats a good day at work” and

“There’s no shame in walking uphill”.
