Don’t Look if your squeamish!
As you will probably have seen, Arsenals Croatian forward Eduardo was the unfortunate recipient of a bad tackle by Birmingham Captain Martin Taylor on Saturday. Taylor was subsequently red carded for the offence, which appears to have been a tragic accident.

FINNAN ANNOUNCES INTERNATIONAL RETIREMENT
The Liverpool right back made 50 appearances for the Republic of Ireland since making his debut against Greece in April 2000.
Said Finnan: “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time in the Republic team, with the World Cup in 2002 being the highlight of my international career.
“But I’ll be 34 when the next tournament comes around so it’s the right time for me to step down.
“There will be a new manager coming in soon who will have his own ideas for the future with younger players having the chance to stake their claim to be in his plans.”
Reds sign Slovakian defender Skrtel
Skrtel becomes the most expensive defender in Liverpool’s history with the fee thought to be around £6m, in a market growing ever more expensive. Skrtel wont be match fit for at least 10 days, as his former club Zenit St Petersburg managed by Dick Advocaat is on a winter break. Apparently he has picked up some English from his former Dutch manager.
Plus Mo could be on the go!
Betnley, I mean Bentley
David Bentley’s shirt for the Manchester United clash at the weekend had the Blackburn winger’s name spelt as ‘Betnley”. As The Sun points out: “If the Rovers staff struggle to spell ‘Bentley’ then maybe it explains why Zura Khizanishvili cannot get in the side. (Sun, Daily Mail, Times)
